Membership 2020-21 Renewals

Dear Members and Friends:

Right now, Beth Torah’s building is a very lonely place.

Although we still cannot gather in Shul at this time, we are certainly planning our High Holiday services and beginning our membership renewal. Despite all of our individual concerns, we are working hard to achieve 100% membership renewal this year.

We recognize that there is financial hardship for some of our members and this is our way of saying, we want you back, regardless, and we will make rejoining as easy as possible. Any financial issues will be dealt with confidentially and with great dignity. Do not worry when it comes time to deciding about rejoining, we will help.

On that note, we recently established a Dignity Fund, whose sole purpose is to do exactly as the name suggests, provide dignity for our members and community in assisting with matters pertaining to financial or physical hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Many of you have made donations to the synagogue and they have been allocated to this fund, and we are grateful to the donors that share our vision that the greatest good we can do at this time is to provide dignity to others in a time of great uncertainty. If you wish to participate as a donor or if you require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

On your renewal form, you will have an opportunity to offer support to your Congregation, every little bit helps.

We also wish to be clear that regardless of what kind of service we ultimately have for the High Holidays, whether it be in the building or online, it will be the Beth Torah experience that you cherish - it will be meaningful, and engaging for all ages, and still retain its traditional value and importance.

While our building is closed our hearts are open, and we look forward to an easing of restrictions in the days and weeks to come.

We do hope to see you soon. Let us together build an even stronger Community of caring and compassionate members. As a family, let's make this a great year, truly a Shana Metukah, a much sweeter year.
